Samsung boasts perhaps the broadest range of middle and low-level smartphones in the mobile industry. The company is working its way through the alphabet with the likes of the Galaxy A, Galaxy C, Galaxy E and Galaxy J lines, to name but a few. The latter began with last year’s Galaxy J1, J2, J3, J5 and J7 before Sammy rolled out refreshed versions this year and now, a Galaxy J7 (2017) has been spotted on Zauba.
As a reminder, the most recent J7 (2016) includes the Exynos 7870 with 2 gigs of RAM, 5 and 13-megapixel cameras on the front and rear respectively and a 5.5-inch, 720p display. Samsung recently rolled out
the new Galaxy J7 Prime, which sports 3 GB RAM, a better FHD display and a more premium build compared with the standard edition.
Though our new Zauba listing doesn’t divulge any details re the specs of the 2017 version, rumor has it that Samsung will offer several improvements in alignment with the J7 Prime. As such, we can apparently expect a sharper, 1080 x 1920 display and a very serviceable 3 GB of RAM. Reports do suggest that the cameras could remain the same, though, while the 3300 mAh battery of the J7 (2016) could drop down to 3000 mAh with the upcoming version.
It remains to be seen whether there will be a notable difference in overall design, but as and when the finer details emerge, we’ll be sure to pass them on.
