If you have an iPhone 7 and plan to work (or are working) for the Nanyang Yongkang Medicine Company, you better buy a Huawei for work. Apparently, the Henan province company politely informed its staff that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus won’t be tolerated at its premises and those found carrying one are encouraged to resign, or accept being fired.
The memo was issued by the company chairman and has nothing to do with anything specific to the iPhone 7, but rather “disciplines” staff into not spending their time and money on an expensive smartphone, dedicating their resources to family instead.
A hospital worker spent their three months’ wage on an iPhone 7
In case you wonder, an iPhone 7 in china costs the equivalent of $800, and the iPhone 7 Plus starts at $960. After a hospital worker allegedly spent their three months’ wage on a shiny new iPhone, the institution outright banned workers from buying the Apple flagship, saing that they won’t get good appraisal, may miss out on future pay increases, and are advised to return the smartphone if they have it. Ouch!
Does anyone around you nag at you for buying an expensive iPhone 7? Tell us your story in the comments section below!
