Almost two weeks after Verizon and Sprint have resumed sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the US, T-Mobile is now also ready to re-launch the handset. The magenta carrier will start selling the Note 7 again later this week, on October 5, both online, and in stores nationwide.
Obviously, the Galaxy Note 7 that T-Mobile will have in stock come October 5 is a safe one featuring a new battery that isn’t in danger of catching fire.
As you may have heard, the first batch of Galaxy Note 7 phones sold or just shipped around the world (about 2.5 million units) had to be recalled by Samsung because they packed potentially defective batteries. There have been various reports of Note 7s catching fire while charging, prompting Samsung to stop sales around the globe and issue an unprecedented recall. But things are better now, and over 1 million customers are already using new, safe Galaxy Note 7 handsets, after exchanging their potentially flawed units.
Meanwhile, AT&T didn’t say when it’s going to resume sales of the Galaxy Note 7, but it will probably do it in the near future.
