Xiaomi has just taken the wraps off the Redmi 3S Plus, which seems to be similar if not identical to the Redmi 3S launched back in June by the Chinese firm. Like the earlier model, it offers a stylish design and reasonable set of internal hardware for not a lot of money and curiously, will launch in India as an offline exclusive.
The LTE-ready device includes a 5-inch 720 x 1280 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, 2 gigs of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage. There’s a 13-megapixel rear shooter a 5-megapixel snapper for selfie lovers. The dual-SIM handset also gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with Xiaomi’s MIUI launcher, a 4100 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 3S Plus will cost Rs. 9,499, which equates to about $143 U.S.D. Interestingly, Xiaomi already sells a Redmi 3S variant in India called the 3S Prime, which includes an extra gigabyte of RAM for Rs. 8,999 ($135). But with this new device being offline-only, there’s no competition from online deals which allows a bit more room for manoeuver on the price.
